This magnificent advertising poster is a valuable testament to the history of marketing and food consumption at the turn of the 20th century. Created around 1905, it promotes the Végétaline product with a catchy slogan: "Mon succès ! ... Végétaline - moins chère que le beurre" (My success! ... Végétaline - cheaper than butter).
The work is remarkable for its style typical of Belle Époque advertising art. The illustration depicts an allegorical domestic scene where a character, dressed in attire evoking the kitchen, proudly presents the product.
