This original travel poster commissioned by Air France promoting the Paris - New-York route dates from 1951 and is an Alépée & Cie print designed by Vincent Guerra. The airline company introduces its Lockheed Constellation Aircraft flying over the terrace of a Parisian cafe, hinting at the ease with which Parisians could reach New-York. The Arc de Triomphe and the Statue of Liberty are just a breath away from each other. The artist included a few classic oldsmobiles, the elegant ‘50s-style cars parked alongside the Champs-Elysees to pitch both metropolises closer together.
