Original vintage travel poster Wimereux plage - Chemin de fer du Nord - Leon Dupin - 41.34 by 29.13 inches

This beautiful original poster of Wimereux (Pas-de-Calais) was designed by Léon Dupin and printed in lithography by Joseph Charles in 1929. It was commissioned as an advertisement by the Chemin de Fer du Nord at the end of the 1920s. Léon Dupin clearly belongs to the Art Deco movement, as seen in the treatment of the figures (a female golfer, a tennis player, and horse riders), as well as in the typography and color palette. The poster promotes the beach and the casino of Wimereux, a seaside resort in northern France.

This poster is linen-backed and measures 29.1 by 41.3 inches.
